I hadn't used Nero to burn anything for a while, opened it today and noticed the max speed reported for my RICOH mp7083a was 2x. It should be 8x. I re-installed NERO 5580 but still reports 2x. Any suggestions what to do next. I was going to check Nero web site for update and apply but I'm not hopeful that will work. Thanks for any help...

Hi Frankyg
Make sure you have DMA enabled. And I suggest you install the latest Firmware v1.03 for your Writer and you can get it at :-
http://perso.club-internet.fr/farzeno/firmware/
