You guys are my only hope, this is driving me crazy!!

Basically, I am burning Mp3's onto Cd's to play in my car cd/mp3 reader/player.
When I burn a cd of Mp3's with my HP8200 USB burner, the car player see's the disk no problems and plays fine.
BUT when I use my internal Toshiba SDR-2102 cdr/dvd combo drive to burn the SAME Mp'3 on the same disks then I get problems. It seems the car player thinks the disk is a wav. disk(guessing here) as it takes 10 reloads of the disk before it see's it as Mp3, otherwise it plays it like a wav, just static!!!!

I can rule out lots of problems here:
a) I have tried lots of different disks 70/80/ CDR/CDRW no difference
b) my mate has the same car player and it's the same for him, so its not the car player.
c) I have burned at ALL speeds!
d) I have tried different Mp3's.
e) and it always works if I use my HP burner???!
f) I have tried 10 different ways to burn and different software!

The only two things that are left are the Toshiba burner(noise on lead-in????) or my laptop(no idea)

Please if you know an answer or have any logical ideas please tell me soon!!!!

Thankyou in advance!

Have you tried to upgrade drive to latest firmware and reduce writing speed?
