GMK Unveils TriggerKey, a New Mechanical Key System for Greater Precision and Comfort
GMK electronic design GmbH, the German manufacturer known for its premium mechanical keyboard keycaps, has introduced GMK TriggerKey®, a new mechanical key system designed to deliver greater precision, comfort, and customization.
Built around a patented lever-based actuation mechanism, GMK TriggerKey® rethinks the traditional keystroke by allowing users to adjust both actuation point and keycap tilt. This gives gamers, creators, and keyboard enthusiasts more control over how each key feels and responds.
The system is designed to provide a smoother, more controlled keystroke, with ergonomic tilt adjustment of up to 34 degrees for improved comfort during extended use. GMK TriggerKey® also features a precision-engineered pivot mechanism designed for smooth, consistent performance.
Integrated into a textured POM StemCap, GMK TriggerKey® reflects GMK’s established manufacturing expertise while adding a new layer of functionality. Two built-in adjustment screws allow for fine-tuning, while three interchangeable trigger caps let users adapt the feel to different use cases and preferences.
“GMK TriggerKey® represents a new way of thinking about keyboard interaction,” said Christoph Kredler, Managing Director. “We wanted to create a solution that gives users more control over feel, comfort, and performance without compromising the quality and precision people expect from GMK.”
GMK TriggerKey® is optimized for keyboards with north-facing switches and is also compatible with south-facing setups. It works with most MX-style mechanical switch housings, including Cherry and Gateron switches.
The development of GMK TriggerKey® was co-funded by the European Union, with the product available worldwide through GMK’s online store and authorized partners.
