AUO to Launch UHD 4K Curved LCD TV Displays, 5.7-inch WQHD AMOLED panel

AU Optronics showcasing its 42 to 65-inch UHD 4K curved LCD TV displays with wide color gamut, curved monitor displays, and ultra high resolution smartphone displays at China Information Technology Expo & China Optoelectronics Display Expo 2014.

AUO says it leads in the mass production of full series of 42 to 65-inch UHD 4K curved LCD TV displays with wide color gamut.

AUO also demonstrates a 5.7-inch WQHD AMOLED panel for smartphones with a resolution as high as 1440x2560 and 513 ppi.

In terms of other mobile device applications, exhibition highlights during the show include a 6-inch WQHD (2560?1440) ultra high resolution smartphone panel, a 5.7-inch WQHD (2560x1440) AMOLED panel, an ultra slim (0.57mm) 5-inch HD720 in-cell touch AMOLED panel, a 12.3-inch AHVA LCD panel which is currently the largest in size and highest in resolution) for dashboards, and an oTP (On-cell Touch Panel) integrated touch solutions.

AUO's series of 42 to 65 inches UHD 4K Curved LCD TV Displays geature a wide color gamut technology of over 100% NTSC color saturation, and super narrow bezels.

Regarding professional monitor displays, AUO debuts 27 and 32-inch curved LCD panels featuring high contrast, wide viewing angle AMVA technology, and super narrow bezel designs. The monitors support high color saturation of 100% sRGB and are designed for professional graphics.

In responding to the latest trends in wearable devices, AUO capitalizes AMOLED's slim, high contrast and power-saving features to develop 1.6-inch Wearable AMOLED panel for smart watches.
