NHK and Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA) is welcoming Japanese consumers at their CEATEC booth to "Experience of TV evolution!"
The companies will jointlyl showcase displays centering around Super Hi-Vision (8k) and Hybridcast.
NHK is peomoting the Super Hi-Vision (8k) as the next generation ultra-high definition television technology. Super Hi-Vision (8k) content will be projected onboth theater-type screen and LCD displays for the living room.
Hybridcast is a system already in practical application that enables broadcast of digital TV to be closely intergrated with Internet-based content. The "NHK Hybridcast" went into service in Japan
on September 2nd.
CEATEC JAPAN 2013 is set to take place at Makuhari Messe, Chiba from October 1st to 5th.
