Microsoft Targets Apple, Samsung In Advertising

Microsoft's marketing team this week has targetted Apple's iPad and Samsung's Galaxy S4, using seperate blog posts and web sites.

Starting with the "battle" against Apple's iPad tablet, Microsoft has set up a web page where it puts the iPad side-by-side with its own Surface RT, ASUS VivoTab Smart, Dell XPS 10 and HP ENVY x2 tablets.

Comparisons include battery life, weight, display size and more. Hoowever, Microsoft has devided to add into the mix the Office apps, presenting them as as a benefit for its tablets without noting Apple's alternative.MMicrosoft notes that the iPad can only run OneNote.

Seperately, Microsoft targetted Samsung's Galaxy S4 smartphone - but this time with a central focus on $750 you'll have to spend in order to buy a Galaxy S4 off contract.

The company says that a Nokia Lumia 521 will just do the job as it also comes with a good camera, a good display, thousands of apps, and the ability to keep you connected to the weather, sports, news, and all of the people you care about, while it costs $150 off-contract.

With the remaining $600, Microsoft suggests you visit your closest Microsoft Store and get many goodies. Besides the Nokia Lumia 521 Windows Phone, you can buy a 16GB Micro SD card, 3-month subscription to Xbox Music, some Monster earbuds, and lastly, a Asus VivoBook X202E touchscreen notebook that runs Windows 8.

Although its Friday, you may have some time to kill so head on to the links and ead Microsoft's blog posts.
