Google Now May Be Coming to Chrome Browser

Google Now, Google's predictive and contextual assistant feature, could be heading to Google's Chrome web browser, as it has been spotted in Google web browser code.

A poster to developer forum Chromium Code Review spotted that the Google Now code is currently ready to be activated.

Google Now brings smartphone and tablet users information about bus timetables, specials at a local restaurant, sports results or weather reports - to name a few. This information is tailored to each user based on his / her location, preferences or appointments schedule. Google Now also recognizes voice commands.

The feature is currently part of Android smartphone and tablet users and only those who have a device that runs the Android "Jellybean" operating system. By bringing Google Now to the already popular Chrome browser, Google could make make the browser even more appealing to those currently running Internet Explorer, Firefox or Apple's Safari.
