NOOK Simple Touch Now Available for $119

Barnes & Noble has lowered the price of its NOOK Simple Touch with GlowLight, which is now available for $119.

The move comes at a time where rival Amazon gets set to ship out the Kindle Paperwhite, its new e-ink e-reader that features an integrated light.

Barnes & Noble's reader is available ad-free, with an AC power adapter included in-box. Featuring Barnes & Noble's lighting technology, GlowLight shines uniformly across the display, turns on instantly and adjusts with just a touch, so users can control the amount of light illuminating their device, whether in a dimly lit or pitch dark room. At under 7 ounces, NOOK Simple Touch with GlowLight is also Barnes & Noble's lightest NOOK ever.

The company's Best-Text technology with adjustable fonts optimizes each letter, so words are always clear. It?s easy to navigate, shop and read with just the touch of a finger on the device's 6-inch infrared touch screen. NOOK Simple Touch with GlowLight provides access to one of the world?s largest digital bookstores featuring more than 3 million books, magazines and newspapers and enables users to borrow digital books from public libraries as well. The device can hold up to 1,000 NOOK Books and more content using expandable memory.
