The successor of the low-end Xperia E3 smartphone, the E4, is larger and thicker and comes with a larger 5-inch display.
The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek's MT6582 processor - a quad core Cortex-A7 part with a peak frequency of 1.3GHz paired with ARM's Mali-400MP2 GPU. It also packs a 1GB of RAM, 8GB of NAND with MicroSD support, and a 2300mAh battery.
On the back of the device we have a 5MP camera, and on the front we have a 2MP camera. The 5-inch 960x540 IPS display has just a pixel denity of 220pi. Connectivity options does not include LTE rather than HSPA. There is also support for Bluetooth 4.1, but WiFi connectivity is limited to 2.4GHz 802.11n.
Obviously, the Xperia E4 is a budget-oriented smartphone, and we expect to be priced accordingly, when it launches later this month in certain markets.
