Message Text: Japanese commpany has announced a new device that allows you to experience the presence of objects as if their entity existed there physically even in the virtual world.

It was being a dream in science fiction movies for long time, but it seems that it has come to be realized.

3D-haptics technology generates touchable 3D imagery. According to Miraisens, the technology enables to experience the presence feeling, touch feeling of roughness, and reaction feeling of grasping, pushing, and pulling object.

The technology could improve a gaming experience, or allow someone to physically shape objects that exist only on a computer. It actually works by fooling the brain, blending the images the eye is seeing with different patterns of vibration created by a small device on the fingertip.

Just imagine this tech used to make up complicated data that could be fed into a 3D printer, allowing a child to make a virtual dinosaur model and then watch it come into existence.

In a press event held in Tokyo on Monday, Miraisens showcased a prototype head-mounted displayand how the user can feel resistance from virtual buttons that he or she is pushing.

The company says it wants to commercialise it through applications in electronics and the services industry.
