It’s equipped to display native 4K content with the latest HDMI inputs, H.265 decoding and Smart TV+ webOS. A harmon/ kardon-designed audio system completes the package: 70W 4.2 channel audio for model 65UB9800, 90W 5.2 channel for model 79UB9800 and 120W 5.2 channel for model 84UB9800.

UB9500 Series – The UB9500 series packs the same picture quality into a different form factor. These new models feature LG LED Plus edge lighting with Local Dimming, Ultra IPS panel technology for wider viewing angles, and 1500 UCI. Also ready to display native 4K content, it features, multiple HDMI inputs, H.265 decoding and Smart TV+ webOS. The UB9500 Ultra HD series has a 35W 2.1 channel speaker system and is available in 55-inch class (54.6-inch diagonal) and 65-inch class (64.5-inch diagonal) screen sizes with suggested prices of $2,499 and $3,499, respectively.

UB8500 Series – The value-packed UB8500 series features LG LED Plus edge lighting with Local Dimming, Ultra IPS panel technology and 1200 UCI. Similar to its other Ultra HD counterparts, it features multiple HDMI inputs, H.265 decoding and Smart TV+ webOS. With a 20W speaker system, it is available in 49-inch class (48.5-inch diagonal) and 55-inch class (54.6-inch diagonal) screen sizes with suggested prices of $1,499 and $1,999, respectively.

Each new model features LG’s Tru-4K Engine Pro, which uses a multistep process to upscale regular HD content for a near-UHD experience on these 8-million-pixel displays.

To display native 4K content in its full glory, they incorporate new technology standards – such as the latest HDMI interface and H.265 decoding –that will handle Ultra HD programming whether it’s streamed over the Internet or playing from a USB or HDMI source.
