Message Text: Google is adding web site background information from its Knowledge Graph to the search results, the company announced on Wednesday.

When you are about to choose the right search result for you, information about the websites you see in your search results will be provided directly on the results page when you search on your desktop:

Google said it would dislplay that extra information when a site "is widely recognized as notable online, when there is enough information to show or when the content may be handy for you."

The provided information is based on the Knowledge Graph, Google's interconnected understanding of the things that exist in the world.
