Message Text: Sony will be offering music enthusiasts a new line of products that will come pre-installed with hi-res tracks from Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment.

Select Sony high-resolution players to come pre-installed in Europe with 15 hi-res audio tracks.

High-Res Audio gives you digital audio formats that deliver better than CD quality sound to your ears. That's because it converts analog music to digital at a higher rate than CDs. CDs are standardised at 16bit/44.1kHz, while high resolution sound is normally 24-bit/192kHz.

Generally, you can enjoy audio in high resolution in the way that suits you best ? from buying one of Sony's dedicated products to buying and downloading high-res source titles (HD-Klassik.com, Linn Records, Naim Label, 2L, 7Digital, Cybele, Gimell e.t.c.)

Sony is offering HDD audio player systems, HDD audio players, amplifiers which support USB DAC, Walkman digital music players as well as Linear PCM recorders.

For instance, by installing the "HDD Music Transfer" application on a PC, all the high-resolution music files stored on your PC can be wirelessly copied to a compatible audio player's HDD.

A SOny HDD player equipped with an expandable 1TB HDD can also play your High-Resolution Audio with high quality playback. And, by using the mobile app "HDD Audio Remote", you get remote operation from your smartphone or tablet.

Some Sony amplifiers combine a built-in analogue amp with a high-performance USB DAC. When connected to a PC via USB cable, it lets you enjoy High-Res Audio files as well as compressed audio.

Sony's three Walkman Digital Music Players are operating on the Android platform and support 192kHz/24bit High-Res Audio playback.

Last but not least, Sony's portable Linear PCM recorder supports DSD, High-Resolution Audio and PCM recording. Equipped with an embedded microphone, it also uses a high-performance analogue headphone amp to reproduce recorded sources as purely as possible, as well as letting you play back high-resolution sources not recorded on this product.
