Message Text: Pioneer is showcasing a see-through projection display with a transmittance of 80% at Ceatec Japan 2013, which will take place from Oct 1 to 5, 2013, in Chiba Prefecture, Japan.

The Japanese company used a projector to project video on the back side of a transparent screen. A see-through panel is scattering light allowing video from the projector to be displayed. The screen has a light transmittance of 80%, meaning that it does not causing light distortion. The high transmittance also means that no extra brightness source or any light reflection surface are required to be placed behind the transparent screen.

Possible applications of the transparent display could be installatons in windows stores or signage set-ups.
