Message Text: CeBit kicks off in less than 6 days in Hannover, Germany, and Plextor will be there showing a TLC-based Solid State Drive solution.

The new 2.5" SSD is based on Plextor's own firmware and features sustained random read / write speeds up to 80,000 / 72,000 IOPS as well as continuous read / write speeds up to 540 / 465 Mb/s. The drive will use the latest 3rd generation Marvell 88SS9187 controller and TLC NAND flash from Toshiba.

The new TLC solution will also feature Plextor's TrueSpeed Technology to prevent performance drop after intense or long-term usage.

The new TLC solution is expected to launch in the second half of 2013 in capacities: 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB.

Plextor's SSDs will also appear at the booths of other hardware makers.

ASrock will organize a daily Overclocking event at their booth featuring top Overclockers. Plextor M5 Pro Xtreme drives will be used in various attempts to set new Overclocking records.

Silverstone will showcase its new range of NUC barebones and has chosen Plextor M5M mSATA SSD solution to demonstrate the capabilities of Intel?s new platform.

Promise Technology will also demonstrate a prototype of Pegasus J4 semi-professional Thunderbolt storage solution equipping 4x M5 Pro Xtreme SSDs at their booth.
