Message Text: Zynga plans to provide programming tools to help third-party developers make online games based on its own software. The company is also trying to expand in mobile games and plans to create a social game network.

At "Zynga Unleashed" event held at the company's headquarters in San Francisco, Zynga founder and CEO Mark Pincus oulined the company's business future.

"We have a lot further to go in connecting people through games," Pincus said. "We think that if we can deliver on the promise of real social value through play, we can make it a treasured activity that people could not imagine living without."

Pincus added that Zynga's growth would come through new genres of play, more mobile focus and more dimensions to game play, such a multiplayer games. The company launched Matching with Friends, a new puzzle game.

Zynga will also provide developers a set of application programming interfaces (APIs) to make it easier for them to craft games using Zynga's software.

In addition, the company launched Zynga Partners for Mobile, a way to bring more developers into the Zynga ecosystem and social network, separate from Facebook.

Zynga is also planning to launch Zynga with Friends, a unified network and enhanced social network, with social streams, group chat, multi-player games and social matching.

Zynga has been critisized for heavily relying on Facebook's expansion rather on its own strengths.
