Message Text: Have you been skyping today? With Freecom?s new Skype product line, telephoning for free over the Internet (VoIP) becomes a convenient pleasure:

Whether by Internet Phone or Internet Headset - simply install the Skype software included in the package on a PC or Mac, and connect the phone or headset using the USB or audio port. You can then make calls free to other Skype users, or at very low cost to landline or mobile numbers. The new Freecom products are certified exclusively by Skype, and will convince users with their outstanding functionality and award-winning design. Freecom Internet Phone - The handy Skype telephone with outstanding design. Skyping is even easier with the Internet Phone: these smart phones, available in black or white, have already won the Reddot and the iF Design Award 2006. The Internet Phone is not only pleasing to the eye, but also to the ear, thanks to its brilliant sound quality. With USB Plug&Play, the Internet Phone is ready for use immediately on the PC or Mac. Added convenience when telephoning is provided by the integrated Skype function keys (e.g. Skype Out key, scroll button), abbreviated dialling option, volume control and freely programmable keys. The functions can alternatively also be selected via the Skype menu on the PC. Weighing in at only 65 grams, and a slim 151 x 38 x 25 mm, the Internet Phone is a mobile lightweight, which is ideally suitable for notebook users. Freecom Internet Headset - A comfortable headset for skyping in stereo quality The Internet Headset is perfect for Internet telephony, voice and video chatting, games and music, and can be connected to the PC or Mac via the audio port. The swivel-mounted microphone with noise suppression offers a crystal-clear tone, while the ergonomic neck strap and soft ear-pads ensure high wearer comfort. Another particularly practical feature is the switch with volume control integrated on the cable, together with the patented SmartSwitch function: this allows the user to switch between sound reproduction via the headset or external loudspeakers - without having to disconnect and reconnect the cable. Prices and contents The Freecom Internet Phone is available in shops immediately at a price (RRP) of ? 36.90. The Freecom Internet Headset will be available from mid-October for ? 17.95. Each package includes a SkypeOut voucher for 30 minutes of free calls from Skype into the landline network, and the Skype software 2.5. Freecom also offers a 2-year manufacturer?s guarantee and unlimited helpdesk support (Free Call). Freecom will also be extending the range of Skype products in November of this year to include two Conference Phones.
