Sony, Huawei, Microsoft To Announce New Smartphones at 2014 IFA


Besides Samsung Electronics, which is expected to unveil the new Galaxy Note 4, Sony Mobile will have on display at IFA the 5.2-inch Xperia Z3, Huawei will showcase the Ascend Mate 7 or Ascend D7 and Microsoft's Lumia 730 or Lumia 830 will also debut at the Berlin show.

Alongside IFA 2014, Apple is expected to announce its next-generation iPhones on September 9. The same day, Intel holds its Intel Developer Forum (IDF), heating up competition among smartphone vendors and related CPU suppliers.
Intel will also participate in IFA 2014, where senior vice president Kork Skaugen will provide keynotes about new PC products and future trends.

During IFA 2014, Samsung may also unveil its Gear VR.
