Samsung's New Curved TV Costs A Fortune

Samsung’s new 105-inch curved TV goes on sale in the United States this week and carries a $120,000 price tag -- anybody wants to buy a Porsche instead?

Samsung says its latest Smart UN105S9 UHD TV packs technology advanced enough to offer the "ultimate immersive experience".

The TV is curved and is offering four times the definition of an HD TV plus the ability to upscale the resolution of existing high-definition content.

The set measures 2.5 × 1.46 meters (including its stand) and will need to be set back at least 63 centimeters from a wall.

Samsung has already launched an even larger flat-screen UHD TV, the 110-inch UN110S9, which came complete with a $150,000 price tag.

Samsung also launched the 40-inch HU6950 which, at $999.99, ispossibly the cheapest premium brand UHD TVs currently on sale.
