Police Investigating Leak Of Celebrities' Finance Docs

US celebrities including Beyonce and Jay-Z as well as the Los Angeles police department's police chief have had private details of their finances posted online.

A site posted credit reports, Social Security numbers and other private details on Police Chief Charlie Beck, FBI Director Robert Mueller and stars such as Jay-Z and Oscar-winner Mel Gibson. Hackers have also put up information about American Vice President Joe Biden and former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton. Other affected people include Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Mel Gibson and Ashton Kutcher.

The website uses an internet suffix assigned to the Soviet Union and includes some pictures of the people who are mentioned.

Los Angeles police say they are investigating the issue and the FBI says it is aware of the site.
