LG To Showcase LTE-enabled Hybrid PC At WMC

LG Electronics will be showcasing its own interpretation of a tablet-notebook hybrid device at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.

The device is equiped with Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology allowing users to connect to the internet, regardless of where they are.

Running Windows 8 on Intel Core i5, the Tab-Book features a 5-point multi-touch 11.6? screen with 1366x768 resolution and a hidden, slide-out keyboard. A simple press of the Auto-Sliding button reveals the keyboard which emerges from behind the screen. The Tab-Book also features an In-Plane Switching (IPS) display with a 178-degree viewing angle.

The device features a dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with reduced power consumption. It also comes with solid-state storage as well as LPDDR2 random access memory, 802.11 Wi-Fi, USB and HDMI ports and a microSD card slot.

LG's new LTE-enabled Tab-Book will be available this week in Korea, with additional market availability to follow.
