Asus Introduces Gaming Mouse, Headsets

Asus today introduced the ASUS ROG Orion PRO and Orion full-size gaming headsets, along with the ROG GX1000 laser gaming mouse.

The GX1000 features adjustable click-in weights, which allow gamers to tune mouse heft to their gaming style. Four levels of dpi switching and LED indicators (red, orange, green, black) give gamers the ability to instantaneously switch and verify mouse resolutions from 50dpi to an impressive 8200dpi. Six programmable macros and special gaming features such as response speed settings can be accessed and customized from within the user interface, helping gamers set up profile preferences with just a few clicks. The GX1000 comes bundled with its own custom ROG mouse pad.

ROG designers chose large 100mm over-ear cushions covered in leather treatment. Large 50mm neodymium drivers on both Orion PRO and Orion have been fine-tuned to provide dynamic audio positioning, while the larger ear cups afford passive noise cancellation that isolates up to 30dB of high frequency ambient sounds.

ROG Orion PRO and Orion use a retractable microphone boom for easier angle adjustment. New microphone noise filtering technology boasts more sensitive voice capture capabilities, and Orion PRO further includes a cable organizer for wire management.

The ROG Orion PRO headset additionally features audio enhancement technologies via the driver-free ROG Spitfire USB audio processor. ROG Spitfire comes with three in-game audio modes: FPS EQ for better audio positioning in first person shooters, 7.1 virtual surround, and headphone amplifier. Each has a dedicated one-click on/off button, with no need to enter a software interface.
