NBC News is reportddly in talks with Microsoft to buy part of MSNBC.com.

"Conversations are taking place" but "there is no deal," a reported that nn NBC News spokeswoman said Wednesday to The Associated Press.

Microsoft said it would invest $220 million for a 50 percent stake in the MSNBC cable channel and its website in 1995.

Alkthough the TV partnership dissolved in 2005 and NBC acquired a majority stake, the sides continued to share ownership of MSNBC.com news website.
