Sony PlayMemories Online Cloud Service Goes Live in Europe

Today Sony officially launched PlayMemories Online, a free cloud-based service that can be used to stores photos and HD videos and streamed to any device.

Photos and videos can be uploaded through a PC to PlayMemories Online. A PlayMemories Online app is also provided by Sony, allowing direct uploads from Xperia or Android smartphones, Sony Tablets, iPhone/iPad or Android tablets.

Once they're stored in the cloud, those images can be viewed on any device, such as PCs, PS3, martphones, tablets, BRAVIA TV or S-Frame digital photo frames.

Pictures and movies can be also emailed with a choice of 'postcard' templates and a personal message. Private sharing also lets users share images and video clips via a link sent to friends and family.

PlayMemories Online is offered on Sony Entertainment Network (SEN). Registered SEN users can get 5GB of PlayMemories Online storage for free.

The PlayMemories Online service is available from today in UK, France and Germany.
