LG to Ship Its First 12x Blu-ray Disc Burners Next Month


LG plans to release the new BE12LU, BH12LS and CH10LS Blu-ray disc drives next month.

Both the BE12LU and the BH12LS drives support 12x burning with BD-R SL and DL discs, plus all the currently available optical storage formats. The internal BE12LS model comes with a SATA interface and the external BH12LU drive will offer USB/eSATA connectivity options.

The CH10LS is a BD combo drive with LightScribe capabilities. It can read BD-R at 10x, BD-RE at 8x and can write DVDs at 16x and CDs at 48x.
