i don't know why, but it makes my computer slower
i can feel the difference, and one more .... it's 44x, but it burns one cd for 20 minutes?
wtf?
is it because i don't use USB 2.0 makes my computer slower and make the burner so slow

What sounds like is happening is that you have your CRW-F1UX attached to a USB 1.0/1.1 port. If that is the case, you'll need to have the drive attached to a USB 2.0 to get the full 44x

i'm wondering why my computer becomes slow when i have it on USB 1.1
it's not supposed to effect my computer performance right?

You might have made the same mistake i did. Buying a super nice cd burner for a pos computer. In my case, I'm using an old 366mhz pc, which is good enough to handle 16x

Constantly refilling the 8mb buffer in the yamaha seems to be where all the processor strain is coming from.

I wouldn't try 44x burning on less than a 1ghz PC.

USB 1.1 is not capable of 44X Burning.
