A8V Asus MOBO and it is AUTO by defaut, what that mean? DID standard is better, i DONT want to OVERCLOAK.

i get a random black screen problem in HL2 and SOURCE game and some say this can be the problem, to overcloaking so i gess... standart is NOT overcloacked instad of AUTO.....

AMD 64
1GIG ram

and an HL2 problem that some tell it can be overheating BUT IT DIDNT NO OVERHEAT IN MY LAST COMPUTOR. p4 1.7 SAME vid card.

No m/b is overcloaked by default. You can reset to default if you are not sure.

Do you have the authentic HL2 or a copy of it. There are also some fixes about it. Do you get the same problem with another game or application? If not then something is wrong with HL2.

You have to set it to manual to prevent overclocking.
You need to know the Multiplier and FSB of your CPU.
Multiplier x FSB = CPU clock frequency (Not CPU model like 3000+)
