I finally stepped out of the dark ages and got a dvd burner ....
heres the situation ..I made a dvd backup copy to try it out and i would not play on my pioneer dvd player which i know plays dvdr + & - 's
so i got a hold of a friends back up dvd and tried making a copy of it and i would not play on my player as well
Long storry short the disks i made played in his player and on my PC the disk he made would play on my player ...both disk seamed the same viewing in windows exploer 4.25 gig
what is my buddy doing right or what am i doing wrong ...we are both using nero and dvd-r
any ideas

my buddy burner is a pioneer AO5 and mine is a benQ 1610 the media we are using is benQ dvd-r and all backups made play on my pc in either the dvd drive or the dvd burner drive
