On some online stores that sell 24x LiteOns, they post the code as LTR-24101B, such as @ http://www.pchardware4u.com/ When I checked on the LiteOn website, there isn't such a drive, only the LTR-24102B. So is there such a model number? Or is it just the store's code, not the actual model #? I wanna order from newegg.com instead, since they post the code as being LTR-24102B, but it doesn't seem like they ship to Canada :(

Any Canadians out there get a 24x LiteOn yet? If so from where?

Thx

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there is a 24101b, just like there is a 16101b, and a 12101b. Maybe liteon have just taken the older versions of their 24,12, and 16 speed drives off their website (I'm not sure if there's a 16102b yet?).

The 12101b doesn't burn SD2, but the 12102b does. The 24102b does, but I'm not sure about the 24101b, so you'd be better to go for the 2b, IMHO.

I took a chance and order mine anyway when it said 24101 instead of 24102b like in cdrinfo's test. What came in the mail was a 24102b. So I think it's probably safe for you to go ahead and order it. At least everyone so far got the 24102b when they order.
