These days in Japanese stores you can stumble upon these 512 MB DDR400 (CL 2.5) memory modules usual at first glance.

But looking closer you will notice the SL9AAS82DRTG605T marking is printed on a sticker, while there´s such a surprise on each chip.

I think this funny Santa and the "Merry Christmas" will be a nice surprise for any "IT specialist". I´ll only add that modules are available for ¥7,350 ($71).

Manufacturer: Santa.
Size: Merry.
Speed: Christmas.

Oh, that's very accurate and useful information...
If the sticker falls off, that's all the poor IT guy has.

Hahahaha...You made me laugh alot Cooler...

Anyway...what would You expect to get for 71$? Corsair? OCZ? Kingston? So its obvious that its some "no-name" RAM...the size is written...512MB...and speed...400Mhz...(at least they say so)...

And lastly...the sticker MUST NEVER fall off!..and that knows every "IT specialist"......because if nothing more...your guarantee will void if that happens... (btw...is there any guarantee at all?...who knows...I need to ask Santa about that issue...).

ENJOY!.

Still, I don't think that memory works any better with my MB than those two modules I recently got!
These were a bit under 75 euro per module, if my memory serves me correctly...
Looks like these 2 Elixir 512MB 400MHz PC3200 DDR modules have to stay unused on my desk, until I find new MB!
I thought I could put them to good use, but apparently my MB can't find them, because they have no fancy LED's etc. on them?!

I didnt said that it would work better...its just that they are cheap and affordable...

So You see why those LEDs are good for...like You managed to find out...so that MB could find them more easily than in the dark...

Anyway I know that upgrading memory could be quite tricky...I just upgraded to 1Gb...and there were few changes in BIOS required for MB to accept it...at first id didnt even recognized it...but after few tweaks...now they work like heaven ...anddddd...all that without LEDs...can You imagine that!???

Try to exchange them for others (compatible ones) or sell them on some Ebay-alike auction site...orrr...just wait for new MB and use them later...

Best wishes...Bye.
