Last time there was a discussion. We only could come up with TDK.
Now I found another companny who seems to use an AZO dye on there disc's.
The atip code is from 4M (stamper manufacturer so this won't say anything about the real factory)
And the disc's itself are called.
Proline 74.
They are sold at the online store of Feurio
So Azo seems not only to be used by Mitsubishi Chemicals. Still they do have the pattents for it.

AIUI the Gigastorage 24x media used dye bought in from Mitsubishi. The two discs certainly seemed to perform VERY similarly when I tested them. I'm not sure if GS are still doing this though.

I have some old GigaStorage CDRs that are azo (bought in Canada). I think they were being sold as 16x but I'm sure. They come in clearplastic-wrapped spindles of 100 and there is no writing on the discs ... just a plain matte silver top.

Got two different batches of them:

ATIP: 97m 28s 10f
Disc Manufacturer: Gigastorage Corp.
Assumed Dye type: Cyanine (Type 0)
Media type: CD-Recordable
Recording Speeds: min. unknown - max. unknown
nominal Capacity: 656.69MB (74m 45s 00f / LBA: 336225)

ATIP: 97m 28s 10f
Disc Manufacturer: Gigastorage Corp.
Assumed Dye type: Cyanine (Type 0)
Media type: CD-Recordable
Recording Speeds: min. unknown - max. unknown
nominal Capacity: 660.21MB (75m 09s 00f / LBA: 338025)

Does anyone have any comments on GigaStoraage's quality?
