hello all! new here to CDRinfo... definately like what I hear so far. Lots of well informed ppl here, so I'm hoping that someone can answer a simple question about some media. Has anyone had experience with Radius media? and if so, how well does it work with the LG GSA-4120 and the 4160 models?

Thanks again for all the posts and info, its helped me make some decisions on both hardware and media!!

ok, insert the media, run CDSpeed and click on the small CD image next to the drive's name. A window will give you details about your media.

It depends on your burner. If you have a BenQ DW1620, or an NEC 3500a you will get some VERY good results. However, some older drives, especially with older firmwares, do not burn the media well.

Emperor: You place the fault on the media I see, but from my experience the media is actually quite good, but was poorly supported in previous drives. I'm sure you'll see with new firmwares that Optodisc is becoming quite a rival even to Ritek and Prodisc (well, maybe not their DVD+Rs....)

One word of warning... I have reason to believe (but still no confirmation) that Radius may be using downgrade Optodisc media for their brand. I still haven't been able to pick some up for a direct comparison, but it's on my to-do list.

Dolphy i judje a media from the burning results, if several drive manufacturers don't like Optodisc, that's another issue
