I read lots of reviews about ricoh, Prodisk, Verbatim and transdata double layer disks, but I can't seem to find any to buy for less than $7(US) a piece. ($10 a piece at Best Buy!!!

)
Are there any sources for DL media around $1-2 a piece?
When do you think the production might be increased to see prices fall?

Only Verbatim and Ritek have dual layer media on the market currently (at least the North American market). Several brands are OEMing to these manfuacturers, so prices may vary between them. Currently no wholesale cost has dropped below $5 USD per disc, with the exception of possibly VERY high volume orders. Retail prices will probably hit $3-$5 when Prodisc, Optodisc, and CMC get their media on the open market. CMC is VERY close, Prodisc and Optodisc are still working on it.

$1-2 for a DL media it is impossible. Next year maybe.

Do a bit of homework, they have them "backordered" also, after you give them your credit card number, you will find out that the "part number" they have listed for the 10 pack is actually for a 1 piece 1 disc pack...
