Just wondering if this would be a good combo or not.
Anything I should look for in an external case that the dvr-108 needs?
I read somewhere that this drive needs an 80pin cable, is that true?

Thanx for any help on this...

The drive will work OK also with 40pin cable, but in general its prefeared 80pins

While doing some research on opinions ( posted on the net ) of others who have purchased this drive, a couple mention the 80pin was needed in order to acheive the faster burn times. One mentioned having a problem with XP until he installed an 80 pin.

My problem..I never even heard of 80pin before. Its been quite a few years since I built a system. Will I even be able to find an external case with 80pin to USB?
