If those DVDs are burnt by the drive itself then it is a writing quality problem; if not and the discs can be read in other units the drive is faulty.

Princo DVD-R media in general should be avoided, An0nym0us try to upgrade your firmware to the latest version

Princo are not good. At best you will find some ok, mixed with bad. I really dont know how they do it, but it seems 3/4 of their production line is flawed or lacking any quality control. Some spindles, both CDR and DVDR, are so bad they should be banned from stores.

If you have the latest firmware for your drive and the problem still exists there is nothing else you can do about those Princo media.

Princo dvd media is about the worst in the world.

There is a decent chance of burning them with barely usable quality in a Nec. With LiteOn derivatives, I wouldn't hold my hopes high.

To repeat, the media is such utter crap that I wouldn't burn on them, even if I got them for free.

It seems that I am not the only one that I had too bad experience with Princo media.

Do you know how annoying it is to burn a movie, and after one month you decide to see it and it is unplayable?

all what u have just said guys are 100 % true , but the problem in my country (lebanon) is that all dealers are selling princo so all ppl burn princos and if u get any dvd from a friend it wont work coz its princo , so i can only benefit from original dvd's..
