For example does any copy protection give it problems?

why would you spend so much money on a plextor when the Yamaha CRW F1 is cheaper and better?

Just wondering? not that plextor is bad, It's just not the best for your money in my opinion.

Read our review of it and its external sibling at our Hardware section and help yourself make your own mind up.

It runs fine with CCD, and most newer copy prots based on CD-ROM physical characteristics give it problems, but same for all other burners; as the CD the protection is on, is physically different to a CD-R, not the data on it. That's how the gaurd module verifys it from a copy.

It seems good, but my one was a lemon and I haven't seen it for a good while....

*now, where's that phone no...*
