The range of memory cards by Fujifilm has now been increased to include the MMC card. With capacities of 64 MB to 1GB the new memory media is used primarily in mobile phones and PDAs. The xD-Picture Card series will also be expanded: the xD-Picture Card will be available with a capacity of 1GB before the end of this year. Further memory sizes will be: 64, 128, 256 and 512 MByte. All Fujifilm memory cards are very robust, fast and energy conserving as they are based on reliable SLC (single level cell)technology in contrast to many no-name products. These are cells with one memory level. The advantage: SLC cards always store only one data bit per memory cell and thus ensure compatibility.
Besides the MMC and xD-Picture Card series Fujifilm offers the following memory media: Compact Flash, Microdrive, Smart Media and SD-Card. A summary of the memory card range: xD-Picture Card: 32, 64, 128, 256, 512 MByte, 1 GByte (before the end of this year), MMC-Karte: 64, 128, 256, 512 MByte, 1 GByte, CompactFlash: 64, 128, 256, 512 MByte, 1 GByte, 2 GByte, 4 GByte, Microdrive: 2, 4 GByte, SD-Card: 64, 128, 256, 512 MByte, 1 GByte, and SmartMedia: 64, 128 MByte.
