You can't get a PS2 boot disc, your PS2 will have to be chipped mate.

I just figured it out--how to copy and play PS2 games without a modchip or money out of your own pocket to get them to play. There were some methods called the "cog & knife" methods. Both of them explained a way swap the gameshark cd with a copied game without the ps2 knowing that the tray was opened. I know how to do it now. If you can get another lid for your ps2 (an old one that is of the same make) and get a nice square cut out over the area where the tray is--needs to be big enough for you to reach your hand in and remove the cd, you can make the swap without anything else being added. Just thought I'd share.

It seems a lot safer to have it chipped !!!

It might sound a lot cheaper using the knife trick way, which has been about ages, but no way would I have ever tried it on my PS2, even if it wasn't chipped. I'll see if I can dig up a guide for this said knife trick, just for those who wish to try it.

yes this method has been round 4 ages, however it is very dangerous. there are other methods similar 2 this 1 th@ r less damaging 2 ur ps2 but while chipping is more expensive, it will not destroy ur ps2 motor. by destroying i mean th@ pulling the disc off of it will cause it 2 b stopped unexpectedly and this jolt will losen it eventually stuffing up not only ur motor but ur entire ps2. if u want 2 try cutting a hole in ur case u can, but if u wish 2 spend money, u can buy a case th@ has an opening built into the top.
