When I am trying to burn an Audio CD from mp3 files, the burning halts and in the log it says "internal target failure" What does that mean?

We would need to see the full log file to be sure. But it is normally caused by a corrupted source file.

Do you see any errors with the Log file reading any of the MP3 audio files?

How were the audio files created?

If you try other MP3 files, do you still have this issue?

If you are using Nero, create some MP3 files with it, and burn only these MP3 files to an Audio CD, just to see if it's working when you are sure of your source files.

The most common cause is the download process.Or during the creation process there could have been a problem.

Or it coule have been extracted to a WAV file, and then someone converted it to WMA, and then to MP3, etc.

Without knowing how it was created, it's hard to say how it was corrupted.
