Please forgive my dumb question but I'm hoping someone can help. I just got an Arrgo CD-RW drive that is 40x16x48. When I went to buy CD-R disks I see numbers like 2x or 4x on them. Is any speed compatible or do I have to purchase ones that have the same number as 40x16x48.
Greatly appreciate feedback!

You can use those discs but they will burn slower than ones that have higher numbers. That is what the disc is rated for. Nero and other software check the disc and burn at the rated speed.
