Can anybody tell me which one is the better of the two? I've got a 50 spindle of each. I plan on using the better one for movie backups and the latter for data archival.

can't they both be really really good? It depends on if you have real Maxell media or not... the media made by Maxell themselves I'd say is pretty much on equal ground with Taiyo Yuden.

Yeap both are great. Which burner are you going to use with?

I'll be using a NEC 1300a. At $30 for a 25pk they better be real Maxells
