as tron is saying it may be the atip check kicking in but another possibility is that it's actually a later version of sd2. that would be my guess. you might try backing it up with alcohol or the very latest version of clonecd. if you use clonecd on these versions it's my understanding that you must also have 'hide cdr media' enabled in the system tray. alcohol will make a good 1:1 copy without requiring this.

I used Alcohol 120% to back up the game and have been playing with the backup in a drive that does not read ATIP info.

used latest alcohol 120 demo to backup mohaa spearhead
burner was liteon 32123s
reader was liteon 163

default setting on alcohol 120, took a long time to read disk to image with lots of warning messages in log, but burned copy fast from image

play on w2k with copy in 163 drive with no problems, except copy got dirty with pizza and would not read until cleaned off

I have sucessfully installed the game and run it from a copy that i made using the latest version of CloneCD (4.2.0.2). In the CD speed surface scan, even the origional disc shows 2 good first sectors then a series of "unreadable "sectors. The copy also shows this exactly the same.

ok I've been doing a copy of MOHAAS for 3 hours and 34 minutes with alcohol 120% ......it's at 3% ...I used the safedisc 2x settings when I selected image making wizard. Can I get some help with this please?
