Hi

How does verbatim rate ? It's the most common where I'm from here in South Africa. I'm thinking of getting a Plex 48/24/48.
I've always used verbatim until now with my HP 9210e (8x)
Should I stick with it or are there any other suggestions

Verbatim rules!! DataLife Plus & Printable surface discs are one of the best media...durables and a lot of cd writers (that i test) works well with this.

So, check the speed that its supports, the DataLifePlus supports at least 16x,printable surface disc i think the same, ValueLife...8x (i think) [8)]

Actually, if you have an lite-on based drive, don't use Verbatims.

Since Lite On isn't optimised for burning AZO based disc's which will result in a higher error rate. At least the older Lite On's in combination with the older (up till 48x) AZO discs. Since it looks like the new Sony 52x which is based on a Lite On can write the 48x very good. It could be that SOny uses there own firmware which is optimised for AZO based discs.
