I thought about that one, but since it was so new, and still not available in Canada (ok, maybe a little biased on that one

) I decided it probably wasn't going to be a big contender for most common drive owned and decided to leave it out. However, if there had been more spaces for adding selection, I would have included that one as well.

Erm. It's hot in Asia. Anyway, if any drive doesn't have much of a chance, it's the BTC. :)

You should still edit the LiteOn 2S entry above to include the 51S drives. :p

Ok, I've added the 451s and 851s models to the liteON catagory, and switched the BTC option for the LG 4120B.

Hope that helps a bit

I have 2 Different DVD R/w Drivers in two machines...

A TDK-Indidvd 4X +/- RW 440n

A MadDog Dominator 6-in-1 Dual 8X DVD-RW

Both work well. I use the Maddog more because its in my newer computer. I burned at least a 100 DVDs and no problems.

I've been thinking about getting one myself too... although I wanted one before this poll went up, the fact that so many people have this drive makes it perfect for my needs also!

Its very cheap also and with Herrie's firmware it becomes even better!

oh ya, i got my 4120 the day after its arrival in stores lol... i have beeen waiting for it since the +R9 specs are out lol. (yes i happened to see it on sales first. the store clark didn't know its a dual layer lol. he said it arrived last night :D

Anyways, I am happy with it. Its my first ever dvd rw drive. picture this: the last rw drive i own is a sony 16x cd-rw, from almost 3 years ago. i don't really like it (CRX-1611), psx backups are a pain you know ;) so I am not likely to buy a sony driver ever again. (and i have even worse experience with the sony 16x dvd (DDU-1621).

Yes, huge jump for me lol. a 16x cd-rw to a 12x dual layer dvd+-rw lol...

its out sale now, so all canadians can go buy them :)

edit: i need to buy some dvd media lol... :eek: I don't even wish for dual layer dvd+r of course, i only mean normal dvd+- media... dunno which ones are good, so gonna head to other forums here and read on recommendations :)
