sooooo...... it's a 4x DVD-R, with drive support for 8x?

I've also heard some rumours that Ritek might end up marketing this as a 12x DVD-R? or maybe even 16x!

It might also be a replacement 8x DVD-R, to replace the G05.... I guess we'll have to wait and see!

Actually Ritek G06 supposed to be a 8X DVD-R rated media, no test done since only two pieces...At least for now. I guess we could ask Ritek about the new media ID code, don't know if they will answer however...

Well, since the Ritek G06 doesn't officially exist yet....

If it's supposed to be 8x DVD-R media, then how come it only has 2x and 4x write strategies and OPC info?

I knew where you were going Dolphinius, and I was going to agree. Unless the Reading engine needs to be updated, this seems to only be media that has been updated to write at 8X......

They're dropping the G04 from production now too, and replacing it with an M02 code.... weird. At least this is what I've heard.
