When I try to copy a DVD to my VHS it comes out, well it doesn't is there a way to do it. I seen something called a DVD Video Decoder (MacroVision remover) does something like this work?

Yes there are such devices (like modchips for psx) that can disable macrovision. Sometimes DVD manufacturers permit that by a simple trick (pressing some combination of remote buttons)

Yes! The Apex DVD player is a prime example of that John. I heard that on the newer ones that this function has been removed though.
