What color are the bottom of your cds? I know it sounds stupid, but if they're blue, they may have just reached their due date...especially if they're Maxell blue bottomed CDs. I've had a number of my CD-Rs (maxell blue bottomed) die on me for NO reason, they were about 4 years old, some of them containing data I'll never be able to replace [:(!] I got the same error: Cyclic Redundancy Check = Bad CRC. An alternative is, have they gotten wet, or put near high temperatures? some CD-Rs are VERY sensitive to such situations. I hope this info helps! On the MP3 piracy note: move to Canada! Thanks to the new CD Levy that's being charged on recordable media, the making and trading of MP3s has become perfectly legal. Not that the government actually pays the artists anything from the taxes collected in their name, but I hear the recording studio's are making a fortune.
