I have tried ADS TECH 1394 case and it was a piece of S***. I swapped it out once and it still burned out. It did however work with Yamaha,Plextor and HP. I hear they have improved there bridge but am not willing to try it yet. I have tried some old SCSI cases that were cd-rom capable and had varied results. I have also used a brand name burners ext case and put other drives from the same manufacturer in it and they work. I would try to find out if ADS fixed there chip problem. If they did they would be a good company to buy from. Before you buy, ask around to make sure the case you want works. Here is a good site for cases and adapters.
