I've just bought my first CDW drive - a toshiba sr1202. I was hoping to make back up CD's using my old philips 40x drive. I just installed easy-cd create from ROXIO and it doesn't recognise the philips CD.

SO I'd like to replace it but can't find any information about plain CD/DVD drive to read from - only a list of compatible writers. Are there any recommendations for a good reading drive - I'm tempted with the pioneer dvd106s (like the slot) but don't know if it would be any good?
