Whereas,

Raw DAO-16 is 2352 bytes RAW Data + 16 Bytes P-Q Subchannel Data. It allows writing of most subchannel information, including most Digital Signatures, ISRC, Catalog Numbers, Gaps, Indices and Crazy TOCs. 2-Bytes CRC of the Q Subchannel are generated by the writer.

Basically in practice DAO-16 can copy SecuROM, *but*, DAO-96 can copy Libcrypt as found on some PSX titles.

"2-Bytes CRC of the Q Subchannel are generated by the writer." Huh? You mean Acers?

DAO-96 does not 'copy' LibCrypt. Only a PQ read is necessary but a P-W write is required. The only trick here is that a full subs write (96) does NOT correct any errors in the Q channel (which is the basis of the LibCrypt protection). Most writers default to a 16 byte PQ subs write which DOES correct the Q channel, hence the "Don't repair..." feature of CloneCD for example.

1. I'm thinking of buying an Acer they support it,

2. What makes you think my method needs sector amplification at all? It would not have any "tricks" on the disc at all, nor would it stretch a CD-Burner to make a RAW-Copy, which would give a same image as the original disc.

Possibly the Acers, I don't have one. It was copied from CCD's supported writers list, bottom of the page as I was feeling lazy I don't know if it is 100% correct, but I assume it is, you can see for yourself in the CCD help...

Yes that is correct, however (thanks for the complete story!) all the question asked was the diff between 96 and 16, I told him *basically* (as I have said previous) in order not to give him headaches! [^]

And yes FP, I am aware that full subs DAO (96) writes "as is" and the writer does not generate it's own subchannel info [:I].

The write method is called Raw DAO-96, thats why I said that. Why do you think you must correct everything everyone says here??!

And with useless information that will confuse the users. I know a forum where they do that, but we try to keep it simple and to the point so that useres get the most out of it. If they need more clarification they are free to ask.[B)] We figure that most useres are pretty smart and try to treat them with respect. We do not want them to think that we are talking down to them. Most users have a lot to offer too. So we try to do it without an attitude, and to make our users feel at home here.

Heaven forbid someone actually learn something!

Education is about learning, not getting by on others.

Also, I've noticed that you mods think everything I say is saying CD Freaks is Better than CDR Info.

And that is where the philosophies of the two differ.

One is based towards helping others, the other about learning more in order to create that which others can use to help others.

Hey SirDavidGay
You Say " And that is where the philosophies of the two differ. One is based towards helping others, the other about learning more in order to create that which others can use to help others."

Our philosophies are definitely not the same as yours we are here to help people to Cure there Problems with hardware and software not to cause them !!!

A famous well respected Writer called George Bernard Shaw wrote something that I think fits your thoughts on yourself !!!

" This is the true joy in your life the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one and complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy."

And I am quite certain if you hadn't come on our Forum and tried to act as a self appointed Knight (As your User name suggests )you would have been made welcome but owing to your Arrogance and Attitude also the fact you tried to contradict post's that the Moderators had made so all you did was to slightly annoy us ! But you did it yourself !!!

And these are my last words on this Issue !!!

" And that is where the philosophies of the two differ. One is based towards helping others, the other about learning more in order to create that which others can use to help others."

That makes NO sense at all. If you help someone with a problem, are these people not able to help others with the same problem? So what you say means nothing. As you help people, they learn and in turn help others. We here at CDRINFO like to think that our users are smart, and also people that will help others with the information that they learn here. I think you have smarter users than you want to give credit too also. You need to give people the benifit of the doubt, and realize that they are smart too. Mods are not Gods, you need to remeber that too! If you stay here long enough you might learn how to treat people, and how to act when you are visiting other forums...... I hope that we can help you.....
